Privacy Policy

We like tea, not data hoarding. We only collect what we need to run this shop, and we tell you exactly what that is below.
1. Who we are

We are the controller of your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What we collect, why, and on what basis

We don’t sell your data. We only send marketing by email, never by text message or post.
3. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies (for your cart, checkout and security) are always on. Analytics and marketing cookies are only placed after you give consent via our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie settings link at the bottom of our website.
With your consent we use:
- Google Analytics – to understand how visitors use our shop
- Google Ads – to measure and show our ads
- Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) – to measure and show our ads
- TikTok Pixel – to measure and show our ads
- Shopify analytics – to see shop statistics
4. Who we share your data with
We only share your data with parties that help us run the shop:
- Shopify – hosts our shop, checkout, customer accounts and Shopify Email newsletters
- Shopify Payments and PayPal – process your payments
- Our shipping carrier – receives your name, address and contact details to deliver your parcel
- Google, Meta and TikTok – only if you’ve accepted marketing or analytics cookies
- Review platforms (Google Reviews and/or KlantenVertellen) – to send you a review invitation
- Moneybird – our accounting software, for invoices and tax records
We have agreements with these parties so that they handle your data carefully. We may also share data if the law requires us to.
For some features, such as Shop Pay, Shopify acts as an independent controller. Read more in Shopify’s privacy policy.
5. Data outside the EU
Some of these parties (Shopify, Google, Meta, PayPal and TikTok) may process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States or Canada. In that case, they use legally recognised safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, an EU adequacy decision or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep your data
- Order and invoice data: 7 years (required by Dutch tax law)
- Account data: until you delete your account
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe
- Customer service messages: 2 years after our last contact
- Cookies: see the retention periods in our cookie banner
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- see the personal data we hold about you
- have incorrect data corrected
- have your data deleted, unless we’re legally required to keep it
- receive your data in a portable format
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest, including review invitations and direct marketing
- restrict processing
- withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn’t affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
Email hello@95degrees.rocks to exercise any of these rights. We’ll reply within one month. We may ask you to verify your identity first.
8. Complaints
Not happy with how we handle your data? Please tell us first. You also have the right to file a complaint with a data protection authority: in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens; in Belgium, the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.
9. Children
Our shop is not intended for children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect data from children. Are you a parent and believe your child has shared data with us? Email us and we’ll delete it.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and our shop runs on a secure (HTTPS) connection. Keep your account password to yourself.
11. Changes
We may update this policy, for example when we start using a new tool. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
